Biagio L. Passione | Biagio "Ben" Louis Passione was born in Brooklyn, NY to Ciro and Catherina Passione on January 16, 1932. He loved sports as a boy, especially baseball. Ben joined the US Army in 1953 and served honorably as a radioman during the Korean Conflict, earning the rank of Corporal prior to his discharge in 1955. After the service, Ben worked as a technical writer for RCA at their Cherry Hill and Camden locations. During his career, he enjoyed traveling the world to facilities in places such as Greenland, Morocco and Germany. He married Dorothy Jeanne Nicholas on July 28, 1962 and they raised their children and step-children on Burlington Avenue in Delanco. Ben was very active in Delanco as a baseball and basketball coach. He became loyal fan to the Mets NY Mets fan after their origination in 1962. He was also deeply involved in St. Joseph's Church in Beverly and loved coaching CYO Basketball. He played golf and bowled with his RCA coworkers.until he retired from RCA after 32 years..He also enjoyed doing word puzzles and Sudoku at home. Ben passed away at the Samaritan Center in Voorhees on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at age 91 and was buried in Odd Fellows Cemetary in Burlington. | US Army Cpl | Radioman | Korea | 1932 - 2023 |
